About the Founder
I founded Healing in Motion after years of seeing how easily people can become lost when systems become difficult to navigate.
Across more than 25 years working in operational, financial, customer-facing and community-focused roles, one pattern kept emerging. Most problems were rarely caused by unwillingness. More often, they stemmed from uncertainty, inconsistent information and a lack of confidence about rights, responsibilities and available options.
Those experiences shaped how I think about operational decision-making long before I entered the UK's prescribed medical cannabis system. It was through my own health journey that those years of experience came together and a different question became impossible to ignore:
Why do lawful situations so often produce uncertain outcomes?
Policies exist. Prescriptions exist.
The space between them is where people can become lost.
Healing in Motion was created to help bridge that gap through education, operational guidance, research and practical support, helping organisations and individuals make lawful, proportionate and defensible decisions in real-world settings.
From Personal Experience to Professional Purpose
Away from professional life, Jaye's own experience with cannabis spans decades. Like many patients, he spent years benefiting from it without fully understanding why. It wasn't until later, through his own health challenges and entry into the UK's lawful medical cannabis system, that those experiences finally began to make sense.
As he became more involved in patient education and advocacy, another pattern became impossible to ignore. Lawful medical cannabis was widely misunderstood. Patients, landlords, employers, healthcare professionals and public services were often dealing with exactly the same situations, yet approaching them with very different levels of knowledge and confidence.
Building Healing in Motion
The starting point was simple: a practical guide to help tenants better understand their rights.
That single guide became the foundation for Healing in Motion.
What began as one educational resource steadily evolved into a wider programme of operational guidance, supporting organisations across housing, employment, healthcare, emergency services and public services.
Healing in Motion was never created to campaign or criticise. It was created to help organisations make confident, lawful and proportionate decisions through practical operational guidance, education and governance.
The Mission
Today, Healing in Motion supports organisations across housing, employment, public services and other operational settings through practical guidance, education, training and proportionate response frameworks.
The aim remains simple.
To improve operational understanding so that organisations, professionals and patients can navigate situations more consistently, lawfully and with greater confidence.
